Creativity is healing.

In 2020 I was going to ‘fix my money situation’ and instead creativity healed my heart.

I throw myself into creative projects like it’s my job.

In fact, I’ve been hell-bent on making that my job for as long as I can remember.

This year, however, I realized just how good it’s been for me.

Creativity has been my salve when I’ve been hurt.

It’s been my salvation when I don’t feel hope.

It’s been my constant companion when I feel alone or abandoned.

It’s been how my heart makes meaning in the world.

It’s been my greatest joy– and depriving myself of it has caused me immense pain.

Why is creativity healing?

Well, it allows your heart to be heard. Whether what its expressing is joy or sadness or anger– creativity is a direct link to your heart. It is a direct expression of your heart.

And that feels so good.

It feels like love.

Because it is love.

It is love you send out to the world in the form of words, images, designs, products, offers, etc. And it feels better than anything else could– especially if you’ve been bottling it up and not letting it out.

It’s time for you to feel the love and joy that comes from creating.

It’s ok to spend money and time on the type of creative work that will make your heart soar with love for yourself and the world.

in creative collaboration with you always,

Steph
