Women Founders– get emotional support before anything.

In this moment, we’re all called to do better. And if you’re successful you’ll be held accountable to an even higher standard. The BEST investment you can make in your business is in emotional support and growth for YOU.

Business in the era of cancel-culture has been terrifying my clients.

My clients are would-be world-changers and founders of companies that can fight inequity or bring an entirely new perspective to the world.

But they’re terrified.

Before the era of cancel culture, they’d be scared of losing money.

Or failing.

Or being seen as imperfect.

Or not having a good handle on money.

There is always something to be scared of– if you have a brain that tells you that failing, being canceled, not knowing business well-enough or losing money is going to hurt.

What if it doesn’t?

Hear me out.

Business is one of the MOST AMAZING things– it grows you. Through the struggles with your own brain. The struggles show you how you can evolve.

And THAT is exciting and it’s the best reason to start your own business.

But, here’s what I’d say.

Have a coach. Have emotional support BEFORE you begin your business.

It is the single most important thing I wish I would have had before I began my fast-growth startup.

Not a business degree.

Not a bunch of money in the bank.

Not a killer team.

But the ability to manage my emotions in a loving way for myself, and others.

The truth is that the world of business combined with the online world combined with capitalism, patriarchy, white supremacy (and other oppressive systems) will make life and business for women difficult.

And most of us enter business with a lot of our own wounds that we might not even know about.

None of this is a reason to NOT get in and have your voice heard, or bring your dream to life.

But what do you want your experience to be?

What equals success for you?

If you are invested in your own success (and that of others) then getting clear on what you’re starting with (how you already think) is imperative- instead of learning it when the stakes are much, much higher (and more public).

Building an Emotional Toolkit is so important BEFORE you begin your business. Before you spend a bunch of money. Before you have employees or a big following.

If you’re someone who wants to have a thriving business but you’re also scared– this is for you.

If you’re someone who wants to control your own time, but you’re just not sure how to figure out how to leave your job– this is for you.

If you’re someone who wants to be calm, confident and clear about running your business and making financial decisions– this is for you.
