My Turkish Kitchen– Sardines on Toast


I had this simple delicacy first with my good friend Lindsay in Paris. It comes together so easily and I can get everything in my little town.


What you’ll need– tinned sardines, good butter, fresh bread (I used sourdough), shallots (I only had white onion so I used those and put them in champagne vinegar), chives.

Toast your bread with olive oil. Chop chives and shallots / onions. I put my onions in champagne vinegar but you don’t have to. Butter your toast. Spread sardines over butter. Sprinkle chives and onions / shallots.
