A peek at what I travel with– my capsule collections.

SKINCARE– Aesop. Smells so damn good. Feels amazing. It’s like a shower is actually a spa. Major 2021 upgrade (well, honestly I started using Aesop in early 2020 and I just finally added to my collection.

SOCKS– Sounds weird, but I treated myself to all new socks! I feel like that is a luxury, especially since they’re from Le Bon Shop. Grab yours from my friend Abby at Shoppe Flora.

CLOTHING– I’m into a mix of ethically-made and secondhand, and that’s just what I have! It took me a year to gather in small ways and I’m super into it.

Brands I love are Vetta (super dreamy loungewear sets), Eve Gravel, Mother (jeans), Shoppe Mille (cotton blouses and dresses), vintage Levi’s, Mate the Label (modern and comfy tees).

JEWELRY– I’ve had these rings from The Circle Craft for at least 2 years and I wear them every day. This year I added a beautiful necklace from Aware Marketplace, that sadly closed at the end of 2020.

FOOTWEAR– I love Sabah, and I finally invested in a winter pair that keep me cozy when the temps drop. I also got these boots (below) in two colors– black and white and I love them. They’re perfect to wear with a dress or jeans. I got them at Saks last January and I actually forget the brand!

THE INTANGIBLES– Over the course of 2020, I let go of so much. I stopped trying to fix myself. I stopped hating my body. I stopped saying YES when I mean no. I stopped letting my anger slip away and instead allowed myself to express myself. I gave up perfection and the people who require it from me. I gave up caring about what everyone thinks about me.

Beyond anything physical I own or have, having my own back has been the most amazing and transformative gift I gave myself.

Oddly enough, letting go required that I spend my resources on coaching and care for self, rather than on food and drinks and numbing that I had been doing for so long.

The love I have for the things I own is so much more lasting and true than when I spent just to spend.
