Business does not have to feel like this for everyone. But it feels like this for me.

Because of the specific business I chose to begin, I:

  • take huge financial risks

  • have a high-stakes business that could result in people getting hurt

  • am in conflict all the time overexplaining why we do what we do (aka I’m a female business owner)

  • have high expectations for myself and my team

  • never take the easy way

  • always take the hard way

  • have tremendous responsibility on my plate

  • am a human business owner with huge goals

  • love in the biggest way possible

  • am in two volatile industries (startup AND events)

  • have a large social media following where people routinely shame me with confidence

  • do not have a business partner or life partner

  • spend my days convincing people that their dreams are possible- and trust me people have a really stressful relationship to their dreams (most of the time)

  • work A LOT

  • am our serious complaints department

  • get yelled at in person at my events

  • have the hardest working team that deserves the best boss possible

  • AM THE LUCKIEST HUMAN BEING- BECAUSE ALL OF THIS MEANS I AM DOING WHAT MY HEARTS DESIRES DESPITE THE STRUGGLES.
